Two Remedies for The Brokenhearted and Bereaved

Sometimes, there really are no words to describe the grief people may suffer due to the loss of loved ones and friends, especially when the death is sudden and unexpected.  Even after a long-term illness, death, when it happens, can be an enormous shock to those left behind.

In our family alone, we've lost two loved ones in the last 2 1/2 months--a much loved 95+ year old grandfather who was alert and basically healthy up to his last week of life and who tried to not be annoyed with God and the universe that it was "taking so long" for him to move on, get to heaven and see his beloved wife again; and a much loved son, brother, grandson, nephew and cousin, who died unexpectedly 4 days before his 42nd birthday, from a health condition he kept mainly to himself. They are both in a better place, and we are all here with the empty places and spaces in our hearts and homes, seeing them "everywhere" we go.  It is, as all who have lost loved ones and friends know, very surreal, for a very long time.

(If you or anyone you know are in need of resources for grief, please check out the post Words for the Elderly, the Sick and the Dying--Practical Resources.)

For anyone who believes in an afterlife, I would like to share some advice I once received from a very wise and experienced psychologist, Dr. Marilyn C. Barrick, with whom I spoke in the early years after my husband died at the age of 36, leaving me with two children under the age of five.

During one counseling session, Dr. Barrick told me two things that made a huge difference in my life and in my grief process.  First, she said that if I had any "unfinished business" with my late husband, I could say a prayer to Archangel Michael to take me to the retreats in heaven to meet him there and wrap things up, for as long as it took.  There was no limit to the number of times I could make such a request.  So, I did.  And, after about a year, things shifted, and I rarely had the need for such a prayer, but have, over the last 34 years, occasionally put it to good use.  The prayer was something like this, and can be said for anyone who has passed with whom you may need resolution.  You can say, "Holy Christ Self," or "Higher Self," or "Higher Power," or whatever works with your beliefs:

"In the name of my Holy Christ Self, I ask Archangel Michael to take me in my soul and soul consciousness to the retreats in heaven to meet with __________.  I ask Archangel Michael to guard and protect me and my soul to and from the retreats."

The second thing she told me was, I believe, the most helpful practical spiritual tool I've heard of so far in my life:  She told me that I could, at any time, write the Higher Self of my husband and pour out my heart and tell him anything I wanted or needed to; ask Archangel Michael to take the letter to my husband's Higher Self, and that the angels and his Higher Self would make sure he got it (at a soul level).  This was the formula she shared with me, and I have used it many, many times over the last 3 decades, not just with my late husband, but with family members and friends who have also passed on:

Sit comfortably at a desk or table and, on a clean sheet of white paper, begin your letter to your loved one by writing almost as you would any other letter:

"Dear Higher Self of ______________,  according to God's Will: (Then pour your heart out)

_________________________________________________________________________

_________________________________________________________________________

_________________________________________________________________________.

     Love,

     ___________________"

Then, you fold the letter up, ask Jesus, God, the angels, to fill up the void left in you (after you've poured your feelings into the physical letter) with his Light, with the Light of God, so that no more darkness or suffering enters you.

Next, you say a short prayer to the angels asking them to take the letter to your loved one:

"In the name of my own Holy Christ Self, I ask the Angels to take this letter from my heart to the heart of the Holy Christ Self of ___________."

Then, you safely burn the letter in a pan, fireplace or on a sheet of aluminum foil--wherever you can safely consign the letter to the physical flame, so that it is burned and the angels carry it to the higher realms, the etheric/fire realm, where the Higher Self of your loved one is.

                                                               ~*~

That's it.  I cannot describe how healing and liberating this ritual was and is for me and for others who are aware of this most practical spiritual tool.

~Thomas Moore, Irish poet, lyrics:
(Baylor A Capella Choir)

Come, ye disconsolate, where’er ye languish;
Come to the mercy-seat, fervently kneel;
Here bring your wounded hearts, here tell your anguish,
Earth has no sorrow that heaven cannot heal.

Joy of the comfortless, light of the straying,
Hope of the penitent, fadeless and pure;
Here speaks the Comforter, tenderly saying—
Earth has no sorrow that heaven cannot cure.

Here see the Bread of Life; see waters flowing
Forth from the throne of God, pure from above;
Come to the feast of love; come, ever knowing
Earth has no sorrow but heaven can remove.

Elizabeth Clare Prophet: Kuthumi's Exposé on False Teachings and False Teachers

Forty-four years ago, Elizabeth Clare Prophet gave a landmark presentation on The Guru-Chela Relationship with the Ascended Masters.(1)   During the lecture, Mrs. Prophet explained the importance of the Exposé of False Teachers and False Teachings by the Ascended Master Kuthumi and the Brothers of the Golden Robe.  Although over four decades have passed, the information and Mrs. Prophet's comments about the Exposé are still relevant to those who aspire to be chelas of the Ascended Masters:

·        "Everyone who reads it and studies it says, 'This is what we needed to know because it pinpoints what are the lies, what are the things that we have heard preached by the various teachers of East and West that are simply not doctrinally correct. It also exposes many teachers who have come and gone who are not sponsored by the Great White Brotherhood.  And, since the path of the Great White Brotherhood is the highest path, we need to know that the person we are working with has met the requirements of being a chela under the seven chohans….'”

Your Soul's God Identity

If a picture is worth a thousand words, what might be said about the worth of a glyph of Light that would open the eyes of the soul for millions...a single glyph so accurate, that it would recall the soul-the soul that is a million light-years away from her God-Reality-back to the point of the seat-of-the-soul chakra and to the desiring of resolution, to the worship of her God, to the invocation of the I AM THAT I AM?*

Perhaps that it is invaluable.

That glyph of Light, shown in the video, is called The Chart of  Your Divine Self--the I AM Presence. It is one of the most interesting charts I've ever seen.

One of the best (and shortest) explanations of the Chart that I've heard is that given by Elizabeth Clare Prophet (1 min. 50 sec. Youtube).

And, here's one of the best explanations I've read about why the Chart is so significant:

*That wallet-sized card on which the Chart is stamped and which has the description on the back does reawaken souls to their original identity, to the God who is with them and in them. It is the most important single glyph of Light, a photograph of the [soul's] inner being; and its accuracy is such that it does recall the soul–the soul that is a million light-years away from her God-Reality–back to the point of the seat-of-the-soul chakra and to the desiring of resolution, to the worship of her God, to the invocation of the I AM THAT I AM.
There is no greater gift that you can give to anyone than the understanding of his own Mighty I AM Presence, his Holy Christ Self and his evolving soul, as depicted in the lower figure in the Chart surrounded by the violet flame.

Teaching on the Portrait of El Morya

In doing an end of the year purge of old emails, I came upon a lovely message from a friend from years ago, wherein they shared a teaching which has most likely been long forgotten by many--or never heard in the first place, depending upon one's age.

As El Morya was embodied as Saint Thomas Becket, who was known for his love of "the honor of God," it is with gratitude for the honor of God and the honor of El Morya that I share these words that were shared with me and many others.  The portrait of El Morya referred to is the portrait above and the one to which the Messenger refers in the Darshan DVDs:

El Morya Portrait

"The Messenger unveiled a new portrait of El Morya, made from the late-nineteenth-century likeness released to Madame H. P. Blavatsky.

The Messenger said: 'It has been our great desire in working on this painting to bring El Morya into the physical octave and this has been El Morya’s goal. And so, we have taken great care to allow this matrix to be the most physical representation of El Morya that we know of in the form of a picture or photograph of the Master on earth today. Most of the renditions of El Morya and other Masters are somewhat ethereal and somewhat apart from the way he would look if embodied. And since this is a picture of him in the years before his ascension, you can see the highest manifestation of the Master in the flesh and therefore call to him to come to you ‘in the flesh’ through this portrait.'”

To the best of my recollection, the portrait was unveiled in 1992, if not earlier.

El Morya on Where to Look

On The Last Darshan: The Guru-Chela Relationship

When you look at El Morya’s portrait, what do you see? Do you see the love in his eyes or do you see the sternness? Do you see that twinkle?

Elizabeth Clare Prophet

I just finished a 16 week “home study” course that I highly recommend to anyone interested in progressing on the path of personal Christhood as taught by the Ascended Masters of the Great White Brotherhood, through their Messengers Mark L. Prophet and Elizabeth Clare Prophet:  The Darshan with the Messenger series.  This 1996-1997 DVD series offers the unique opportunity to experience what it was like to sit at the feet of an embodied Guru, the Messenger Elizabeth Clare Prophet, now the ascended Guru Ma.

The last darshan, The Guru-Chela Relationship, occurred on February 20, 1997, and little did any of us who were in attendance realize that, in a few short months, the Code of Conduct set by the Great White Brotherhood that the Messenger mentions numerous times during the darshans would be dropped, (not by the Messenger), and that the Ascended Master El Morya would withdraw his sponsorship of the organization on April 30, 1997.

During the February 20th darshan, the Messenger addressed how important it is for us to resolve our psychology, especially with our parents, so that we do not make the karma of projecting upon the Messenger, the embodied Guru, or upon an Ascended Master, such as El Morya, our hatred or fear or distrust or whatever unresolved problems with any parents we have ever had.

Even though El Morya removed his sponsorship of the organization and it is no longer “his organization” as the Messenger describes in the darshan, the teachings regarding the need to resolve your psychology while pursuing chelaship still apply, and, it is important to note that El Morya’s worldwide Ashram still exists.  As the Messenger said:
“If we fear the father image, we may anticipate that El Morya will treat us just as the bad father treated us. It could be the indulgent father. It could be all kinds of things. When you look at El Morya’s portrait, what do you see? Do you see the love in his eyes or do you see the sternness? Do you see that twinkle? What you are able to see in El Morya depends on your psychology.”
Interestingly, the portrait of El Morya (above) that is visible during the darshans and to which the Messenger often refers, was done under the Messenger's direction and approved by the Master himself, and it is the last of its kind.
During the January 15, 1997 "Initiation and the One Initiator," darshan, (1:45:12), the Messenger makes a definitive statement about the portrait:

"When you see El Morya the last thing before you go to bed and he is looking at you, you know you have to write him a letter, you know you have to do all these things before you can go to sleep because this particular rendition of him (as seen above and during the darshans), he's, you know, he's alive and there and standing right there."

Words of Comfort for the Elderly, the Sick and the Dying + Practical Resources: Symptoms of Grief in the Dying and the Bereaved

I have lost track of the number of people I know who are dealing with sudden illnesses and loss of family, friends and loved ones, or who are taking care of elderly parents these days. Regardless of their spiritual beliefs, a common thread that ties everyone together is what to say when their loved ones express their fears or concerns about what happens after they pass--and, even what to say to themselves during such stressful times.

Many, of course, have great faith and no doubt in their hearts that they will be going to heaven to be with Jesus and/or their family members who have gone before them; or to a place of peace and rest.

But, not everyone is so sure.  Even folks who have studied the teachings of the Ascended Masters for years might have moments of panic, fear or doubt:

 ~What if they don't ascend?
~What if they don't see the angels when they come?
~What about the spouse and loved ones they leave behind?
~What if they have to reincarnate?

These are all legitimate questions and deserve comforting, truthful answers. Wondering exactly what a minister would recommend in such situations, I contacted a friend of mine who is a minister and counselor with years of experience. Here are some of the highlights of what she shared with me:

You can tell a person that "He/she is in God's hands and that God has everything mapped out for them and their spouse. God has it all planned out. And, if they're familiar with the Hail Mary*, it is also a comforting prayer."

Simple and comforting words---yet, something that might not come to your mind when you are in the middle of such a situation. It takes the guesswork out of it for the family member/caretaker and puts the person right back where they came from--the heart and hands of the Lord.

With that inspired advise in mind, below are several affirmations that might be helpful to print on a regular 3x5 blank index card and offer--or have available--for family members, friends, or even yourself in times of need. Just reading through the cards several times a day may be most comforting, and strengthen the one-on-one connection of the heart and soul of those in need with the heart and Spirit of the Creator:

  • I AM in God's hands.
  • ____ and I are in God's hands.
  • I AM grateful!
  • God has everything mapped out for me.
  • God has everything mapped out for ____ and me.
  • The Will of God is good.

Many thanks to my minister friend for her advice!

*Traditional Hail Mary or:

Hail, Mary, full of grace.  The Lord is with thee.  Blessed art thou among women and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus.  Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sons and daughters of God, now and at the hour of our victory over sin, disease and death. (How to Work with Angels, page 77).

Witness to the Ascension of Rev. E. Gene Vosseler, a True Friend of Freedom

On this 4th of July, 2020, I would like to witness to the ascension of the late Rev. E. Gene Vosseler, who passed away on December 31, 2017 and who, I believe, as I witnessed, ascended on January 4, 2018, during a service held for him in Bozeman, MT.

One can only witness to such events and share them when the need arises and for the benefit of those who may not have known Rev. Vosseler, who embraced the path of personal freedom, personal Christhood as taught by the Ascended Masters of the Great White Brotherhood through their Messengers Mark L. Prophet and Elizabeth Clare Prophet.

Today, I will share a synopsis of my experience:

On January 4, 2018, I was sitting in a soda shop style waiting room for parents at a ballet studio, about 1,700 miles away from Bozeman, MT and completely unaware that Gene Vosseler had passed away on New Year's Eve.

I was reading an eBook by Elizabeth Clare Prophet, when, seemingly out of nowhere, sparkling white light began to pour down upon me in such brightness and intensity that, at first, I could not figure out what was going on, or what the reason for the outpouring of light was.  I soon realized that someone must be making their ascension right then, and that, for whatever reason, I was blessed to witness it on the inner, and, what was practically in the physical.

The pouring down of light lasted for an incredibly long time, even as parents and students came and went during class drop-off time.  I lost track of time while waiting for my daughter's class to end, and when I got back home, I said some prayers in gratitude for the experience and for the soul who had been victorious in their ascension.

Two months later, I was talking with a friend who was living in Montana, and I asked her if she knew how Gene Vosseler was doing.  She said, "Oh, Gene passed away on New Year's Eve! They had a service for him around 1:00 pm on January 4th in Bozeman,"  thus confirming the ascension of a great soul, known to many as a true defender of freedom, and someone whom I had known personally.  I was not shocked by my experience, once I found out who had passed on, and ever since then, I have included his name ("Ascended Master Gene Vosseler") as I knew him, in my prayers when asking for help for America.

Today is one of those days when I included (Ascended Master) Rev. E. Gene Vosseler in my prayers on behalf of our great nation in these most difficult times.

I highly recommend the only book that Gene authored solo, Wind of the Spirit, A Spiritual Freedom Odyssey.

Darshan with an Embodied Guru: A True Treasure

In previous posts, there has been a lot of mention of the Darshan DVD series from 1996-1997 with the late Elizabeth Clare Prophet, Messenger of the Great White Brotherhoodand embodied Guru. They are now (October 2024) available online: Darshan with the Messenger.

As noted earlier, these sessions offer a unique experience for chelas and aspiring chelas of the ascended masters, because they are darshans—encounters—with an embodied Guru who is overshadowed by her Guru, the Ascended Master El Morya.  The sessions are unparalleled—there is nothing else like them on the market and they are relatively affordable for individuals and groups.

Here is a list of the Darshans for anyone who might be interested in checking them out--they are truly "Treasures of the World."

"Climb the Highest Mountain" a Chapter at a Time...

What would I recommend that people read and become familiar with, in this, the very beginning of the Aquarian Age?

Well, I'd recommend the Climb the Highest Mountain series also known as the Everlasting Gospel. These foundational spiritual teachings for the Aquarian Age began with the writings of Mark L. Prophet and continued with Elizabeth Clare Prophet and are found in 10 volumes, which include that extremely interesting book, The Masters and Their Retreats. That's it. Nothing more. Nothing less.

Now, granted, it would definitely take more than "a month of Sundays" to peruse and digest the teachings in just one of the books--more like a year of Sundays. But, what a great way that would be to start your week, for say, the next 10 years or so!

Here's a list of the available books included in the series:

1. The Path of the Higher Self
2. The Path of Self Transformation
3. The Masters and the Spiritual Path
4. The Path of Brotherhood
5. The Path of the Universal Christ
6. Paths of Light and Darkness
7. The Path to Immortality
8. The Path of Christ or Antichrist
9. The Path to Attainment
10. The Masters and Their Retreats

How much value did Mark Prophet place on these specific teachings? In his own words:

"The concepts are advanced and progressive. They will give you a new lease on life. You’ll want that book by your bedside to read morning, noon and night as long as you live, and I’m not exaggerating.”

So, how would one go about studying these teachings of the Ascended Masters for the New Millennium? Well, I'd recommend just a chapter at a time!

Elizabeth Clare Prophet: Words of Compassion to Those Who Have Aborted

I recently had the opportunity to listen (via Internet connection) to a live presentation by Carol Everett, former abortion provider and founder of the Heidi Group in Texas, which has helped women with unintended pregnancies since 1995.

According to two friends of mine, you could have heard a pin drop when she was sharing her story.

You'll understand why, if you take a minute to listen to her speak or when you read this excellent introduction to Everett from Holly Hansen's Blog, Smart Girl Politics,Who Really Cares About Women?:

In the 1970's and 80's, Everett worked as a director of abortion clinics in the Dallas area and eventually opened her own clinics. As she describes in her book Blood Money: Getting Rich Off A Woman's Right to Choose, Everett made $150,000 a year selling abortions and was on target to make $260,000 in 1983. She also describes her sales methods in the book, including 'family planning' services; prescribing low-dose birth control pills that were sure to fail, thus promising more abortion income for the clinic. As for 'caring for women,' Everett's harrowing description of fatally botched abortions reveals the callousness of an industry devoted to profit.

At the end of her presentation, there was a panel discussion where people could ask her questions--she did a great and honest job answering them and encouraging people to contact their local pro-life groups to see how they might begin to take action in their own communities.

My friends told me that what could not go unnoticed, were the women in the audience who had tears running down their faces--some even sobbing into the arms of their friends and partners. Somehow, Carol's sharing of her own abortion experience and subsequent work as an abortion provider (with all the gruesome details) had deeply touched quite a few women and men in the audience.

What those women and men in the audience needed to know was that, along with teachings about the healing and transmutative power of the violet flame, Elizabeth Clare Prophet has had much to say to those who have been involved with abortion--offering some of the most compassionate teachings I've ever heard:

In Wanting to be Born, The Cry of the Soul, There Is Forgiveness After Abortion, (page 78-80), we read:

Many people deeply regret their choices regarding abortion. God in his infinite mercy forgives and in his justice provides ways to atone. God does not condemn us for our ignorance or our lack of understanding, for, truly, if we knew better, we would do better.

There is mercy and forgiveness and healing after abortion. If you have aborted a child, do not condemn yourself or abide in a sense of unworthiness. This will do nothing for the child, for you or for God. Instead, look for ways to serve and honor life.

Involvement in abortion--whether you had one, encouraged one or performed them, and whether or not you knew it was a sin at the time--will not prevent your returning to the heart of God in the ritual of the ascension in this lifetime if you give yourself to God in a service that can balance that karma.

Depending on your circumstances, you may have the opportunity to give birth to that soul (or to another soul if this option is not available). Adoption of a child may also be an alternative for you.

You may also be able to balance the karma through service to life, through sponsoring children, working with children, praying for the youth and through educating others about the spiritual issues of abortion.

The Danger of Having Several Gurus

~*~

THE DANGER OF HAVING SEVERAL GURUS

Many legends express the danger of having several Gurus. Let us cite one of them. "One pious woman had three sons. Each of them had chosen a venerable Rishi as his Guru. But one of them conceived the idea of increasing his powers by asking two more Rishis to be his guides, though his mother had warned him of the danger of such a thoughtless action. The time came when the Rishis began to teach the three youths to fly. The third youth asked the two other Rishis to strengthen his flights, so that he might be ahead of his brothers. But the whirlwinds sent from three places crossed and the light-minded fellow was torn to pieces in the air; whereas his brothers flew safely in the direction of the Rishi chosen by them." Thus people remember the law of Hierarchy. One might adopt this law. From every standpoint of knowledge science confirms other laws of life; however, one should not look with an oblique eye. ~Hierarchy, 253

Babaji, Unascended Master of the Himalayas

I recently came across an interesting passage on Babaji, the unascended master of the Himalayas in The Masters and Their Retreats, where he encourages his students to use the violet flame and to become more practical as they walk their spiritual path:

Babaji speaks on behalf of the Brotherhood of the Himalayas, urging his students to take up the path of the violet flame. He also asks us to find the students trapped in the false paths and false teachings of India. Babaji tells his students to not remove themselves into nirvana but to "get over the desire to be the removed one, set apart and in meditation and in unreality when there is a victory to be won and a battle to enter."

The Extinguished Soul vs The Undeveloped Soul, Part I

Have you ever encountered someone who appeared to be a grey shell of a person--who appeared hollow, soulless, without a spark or spirit?  I have, and so have quite a few people I know.

I was talking with a friend a while ago about an encounter with such an individual, whom we both knew years ago.  There wasn't much to say, since he chimed in to say that he, too, had had a similar encounter and was taken also taken aback at how "grey and hollow" the person appeared.  Not ill--grey and hollowed out.

A little later, I remembered reading a teaching in New Era Community, written by Helena Roerich, amanuensis for the Ascended Master El Morya, published by the Agni Yoga Society, that addressed such encounters, and then remembered a teaching that Elizabeth Clare Prophet gave expounding upon it, in Community, a Journey to the Heart of Spiritual Community, published by The Summit Lighthouse Library.  In her excerpt below, she discusses the difference between an undeveloped consciousness and an extinguished one--a very good thing to know these days.

Excerpt from New Era Community, 97.

On the path do not rest under a rotting tree. In life have no dealings with people with extinguished consciousness. An undeveloped consciousness is not as infectious as an extinguished one. The extinguished consciousness is an actual vampire. It is impossible to fill from without the abyss of the ignorant consciousness. Precisely these people absorb one's energy uselessly. As a result of being with them, enormous fatigue is felt . They must be avoided like a stench in order to bar the way to the fluids of decomposition. It is difficult to distinguish the boundary line between lack of development and extinction. But one quality will be unquestionably indicative Lack of development will or may be accompanied by the palpitation of devotion, but an extinct crater is full of cinders and brimstone. The Teaching does not ref use to expend energy on the undeveloped, but there is a degree of extinction at which the abyss is not to be flooded with a new substance. Only a cataclysm, with its terror of unexpectedness, can melt a congealed lava.

Remember the treasure of the consciousness. Tremor of the substance of the Cosmos manifests the pulsation of the awakened consciousness. Indeed , the rainbow of knowledge flows out of the tremor of the consciousness—a visible stream from an invisible source.

Through all experiences of the past and all attainments of the future, remember about the consciousness.

Mrs. Prophet explains what an "extinguished consciousness" is in Chapter 6:  The Extinguished Consciousness and the Undeveloped Soul:

The extinguished consciousness is one that has gone through its contact with the light.  It has gained developement by the light and has actually increased its awareness by the light.  Then it has come to the point where it says, "I am the light, and therefore I need no longer bend the knee and bow before the light."  That was the proclamation of Lucifer.

Then, by the very denial of the Source, the consciousness is extinguished.  At this point, it is highly infectious, because it spreads its philosophy, its disease, to those who surround it....

People who have an extinguished consciousness are in a state of decomposition, which I call the degeneration spiral.  When you interchange energy with them, you give them light and they give you their infection.  They then become a vampire who lives off your light  They cause you to feel fatigued, and you can never fill them with light from without because the only way they can truly get light is to go back to the point of their rebellion against the light and call upon the Lord for forgiveness and be filled with light to heal this disease.

Believing in America, Part III: The Importance of the "13"

America's strength is in her union, which is the key to America's victory.

Learn more about the "power of the defense of peace" through the power of the 13 and other symbolism placed in the Great Seal by the Founding Fathers from Elizabeth Clare Prophet in this brief excerpt:

OM MANI PADME HUM

According to Elizabeth Clare Prophet, in The Buddhic Essence, Ten Stages to Becoming a Buddha, page 131, the mantra Om Mani Padme Hum, which means "Hail to the jewel in the Lotus," is the "geometric formula, or mandala, that locks us in to the heart of Kuan Yin," the Goddess of Mercy and Compassion. For a brief explanation of how you can lock in to the heart of Kuan Yin with your favorite mantra, watch the following video:

Soul Mates, Twin Flames and Weddings....

I was looking for The Weather Channel the other night and, instead, landed on one of those shows about nasty brides, obnoxious bridesmaids and the grooms who leave them all standing at the altar. Wasn't a pleasant second in the 14 minutes I watched. Couldn't help but wonder, "What are those people thinking?!"

We've all been to weddings--and they're usually as unique as the people getting married--from the dresses and suits (or not) to the music for the ceremony and the wording of the vows to the food and location chosen for the whole event. I can't say that I've been to one yet that I haven't enjoyed!

There is, however, one that I remember more clearly than most, and that was the first "destination" wedding we attended. Everyone went south for the celebration and it was a lot of fun.

The ceremony was held in a beautiful church--I don't remember if it was an Eastern Orthodox rite or a Coptic Orthodox Church or what, but it was beautiful and so was the ceremony.

Yet, it wasn't the church that made the wedding so memorable. It was what happened inside. From the moment the processional music started, there was (for me and a few others, at least) an tangible change in the way the inside of the church felt. Initially, I just thought it was the happiness of the event and the anticipation of the bride walking down the aisle.

After following the route of the third bridesmaid (there were 7 or 8)up to the front of the church, I glanced up at the altar and saw what could only be described as a luminescent gathering of angels--wings and all--who were literally arriving from behind and to the side of the altar (from above) and forming what appeared to be one of the biggest "choirs of angels" imaginable. They appeared to be everywhere, from the floor to way up beyond the ceiling. It was incredible!

I was surprised and delighted and was going to say something about it to the person next to me, when I realized that it didn't seem like anyone else had noticed. I watched the rest of the bridesmaids walk up and kept an eye on the angels at the altar--they were still there.

Then, when the music changed and the bride entered and walked up the aisle, it seemed as if more angels came from all directions to take their places at the altar. It was something else. (For the record: I'm not one of those people who sees angels all the time and could probably count the times I have on one hand.)

The impression I got was that this wedding was a special event that was being celebrated in the heaven world--big time. The angels seemed to embody joy and solemnity at the same time--with an intense radiation of light, of gold and white and pink and other colors. They were there for the entire ceremony, until the bride and groom walked out. As soon as they exited, I looked back at the altar--and, they were gone.

Of course, I said NOTHING. About 45 minutes later, a young woman I was with said, "Did you notice all the light that came down around the altar when the music started?" I was relieved that someone else had seen it. Another young woman said, "Yes--did you see how intense it got when the bride came down the aisle and joined the groom?" Yep, we'd seen it and felt it. One of them said, "It felt like there were hundreds of angels up at the altar."

I did not go into great detail about what I had seen (at least not then), and decided against describing everything to the happy couple...lest they thought I had a couple glasses of punch before the reception!

So, what did I figure? I figured it was most likely that we had been invited to and witnessed a wedding of two people who were (are) twin flames, which is a spiritual bond that is deeper than that of soul mates. I read long ago that all of heaven rejoices when twin flames finally find each other (after many embodiments apart) and recognize each other and end up together fulfilling their divine plan.

Anyway--it is the memory of this particular wedding that often leaves me smiling.

For more information about twin flames and soul mates, I recommend reading Soul Mates and Twin Flames, by Elizabeth Clare Prophet--a best seller for decades.
