I just finished reading a recent AP article by John Leicester entitled, Via porn, gore and ultra-violence, extremist groups are sinking hooks online into the very young. It should give everyone pause this Holy Week, especially those who believe in Jesus Christ and espouse the Path of Personal Christhood as taught by the Ascended Masters of The Great White Brotherhood.
The article explains how a young 12 year old Parisian boy, unbeknownst to his mother, was hooked deeper and deeper into the darkness of the Internet by a simple searching on Islam, when automatic algorithms took over and, over time, he ended up seeing "ultraviolent propaganda" by extremist groups that "are worming their way via apps, video gaming and social media into the minds of the very young." He was eventually arrested by French police.
The prosecutor in the case said that, "the thousands of images and other extreme content that the child viewed so warped his understanding of the world and of right and wrong that 'it will take years and years of work to enable this kid to recover normal bearings.'” He also stated that, "It is possible to completely upend the mental bearings of such a young child...."
I could not help but think back to a previous post (Two Different Choices: Kudos/No Kudos) regarding Satanic and astral images and images of witchcraft, voodoo, insanity, etc., used on a well known educational site and thought, "And, yes, it is also possible to completely upend the spiritual, mental, emotional and physical bearings and well being of any soul who was baited by the promise of spiritual teachings and hooked, instead, into the astral plane and unknown levels of death and hell through such images."
Where is the sense of Cosmic honor? Where is the sense, the understanding of "I AM my brother's keeper?" Where is the sense of responsibility for those who are so betrayed?
I once heard a lecture by Elizabeth Clare Prophet where she explained why, during an embodiment in Atlantis as a ruler, Jesus "stepped back" when the people started following a false teacher who led them degree by degree off their spiritual path, even though many had great attainment. The Master stepped back and said nothing, "because they knew better."
That's right. They all knew the Law and they were making their free-will choices. It's that simple. Free will choice.
Judas had it when he betrayed Jesus in the garden. Those who calculatedly lure innocent children into the darkest spaces of the Internet to dehumanize and manipulate them have it. We all have it.
Free will choice.
